Very nice upgrade
By: Andie B on 17 April 2023I upgraded to the Mara X v2 (black) from a Lelit Victoria, and absolutely love it. Quieter, faster to use, and makes a very nice coffee. Some of the quirks that people have mentioned in online reviews have not frustrated me in the slightest. Takes a little getting use to at first but enjoying the experience and coffee overall. One small aspect that a lot of online reviews talk about is the lower steam pressure when using it in espresso x-mode, but honestly this has not been an issue at all. I drink piccolos and short coffees, and for that amount of milk your steaming you'll be done before you'd even notice anything. Might be different if i'm punching out a bunch of coffees for people, but then I can change modes if need be. All in all, well worth it!

Improved in key areas but some small frustrating i
By: Ron Myers on 27 December 2022Generally pleased with the product, it is the second Lelit Mara I have purchased. The latest model appears to be constructed of a lighter gauge stainless, and much quieter than the older model. I really disliked the safety cut out, so many times I went to the machine for a coffee and it had automatically shut down, first change I made was to disconnect the safety shut down mode. The two handles attached to the water reservoir are inadequate. A couple of times I have pulled the handles out of their slots when trying to put a full water container back into the machine resulting in water spillage, I favour lowering the full water container into the machine griping the container inside and out on the top, rather than use the handles, which is difficult and annoying, but safer. The drip tray when full is a struggles to remove, it requires a slight tilt upwards and then press down to remove, for the unaware it is a struggle to remove, sometimes resulting in waste water ending up all over the kitchen top, it requires fractionally more clearance under the 45 degree lip above the tray.

Lelit Mara X
By: Grant Baker on 6 January 2022Only had this machine for one month but it has met all expectations. The support from Jet Black has been excellent throughout the whole process from purchasing to delivery and any follow up questions.

Fantastic little unit
By: Greg Unicomb on 5 August 2021Having upgraded from a Gaggia Gran Prestige, this Lelit Mara X is a excellent upgrade while staying with a more compact and versatile espresso machine. High quality build and finish, and coffee that is for me, almost as good as my son-in-laws La Marzocco GS3, and at a fifth of the price. The initial heat up is around 20 minutes, and heaps faster if used a hour or so before. Such a breeze to operate and beautiful to look at.
