Must Have:
The E61 Flow Control Device allows you to adjust the flow of water in your brew group to manually profile your extractions. This custom component is a stainless steel needle valve, which allows the user to vary the amount of water flowing through the group. Variable flow control allows for lengthy pre-infusion for more even saturation and extraction of your espresso.
Similar to Profitec's existing mushroom, the flow control device is made from stainless steel to resist corrosion. The resulting changes in pressure are reflected by an included gauge which installs on the front of the group. The E61 Flow Control Device can be installed on any ECM Espresso machine with an E61 brew group.
*Please note the photos of the flow control is of the profitec flow control, the ECM flow control regulator has a white face*
We recommend purchasing an adjustable PLV for fixed water connections as the rotary pump in this machine stipulates a maximum input pressure of 2BAR.

2 Years Old Now.
By: Robert haywood on 1 July 2022Had the Tech V Profi PID for over 2 years now and nothing has gone wrong other that an odd drip from the steam wand knuckle, which I re lube myself. Great machine, makes great coffee. If i had to pick on something it would be the milk froth temperature, best you can dial in on the PID is 128C which is not really high enough considering the boiler runs out of puff if you go immediately into frothing after a expressing a shot, yes the temp drops down to around 122 / 124 at best. A twin boiler certainly has the advantage here. Don't get me wrong is will still froth very well but you certainly need to wait till the temp gets back up to at least 126 C, before frothing a second cup. Interesting to note, I have been frothing larger jugs (500ml) of milk recently and noticed it will actually increase in temp while frothing. Anyhow sorry for the ramble, a top machine, looks great too. Still looks as shiny as new even after 2 years, i do wipe it down with a cotton cloth after each use.

Time to Upgrade
By: Anthony R on 23 June 2022I'm coming from 2 Breville Dual Boiler machines in the last 8 years and wanted something that would last.I spent quite some time watching YouTube reviews on Coffee Machines and in the end made the decision to go with ECM.Was wondering if I'd miss the dual boiler feature but it's been a non event. The ECM is capable of anything I wish to do including back to back drinks and steaming whilst pouring a shot. The steam is much more powerful than the Breville and I've had to focus more when steaming to get a correct result. It's also amazing how quiet the rotary pump is and that also took a bit of getting used to but in a good way.The quality and finish of the ECM is absolutely top notch and whilst a sizeable investment it brings me pleasure to use it and looks great sitting on the bench.

Buy quality
By: Greg on 27 September 2021We purchased our machine from jet black. My view is pay for quality - I purchased this model around 10 years ago. It has not missed a beat. We love our coffee! With your own grinder and machine you can find your own coffee supplier and make to your taste!
