Overview
The ECM Mechanika IV Profi, is a heat exchanger, made with the best parts for a very impressive result. The switchable water source and innovative design, emerging from ECM, makes this espresso machine a strong competitior on the prosumer market. What an engineering accomplishment combining dual-pressure gauges, an E61 group head and lever valve controls all in a sleek housing with rounded edges that we don't see too often.
Features & Performance
At the heart of the machine, we see expertly designed internals including the 2.1L heat exchanger boiler allowing you to brew and steam simultaneously. The Mechanika's sound absorbing design is the perfect combo with the rotary pump, making for nearly silent brewing. The iconic E61 brew group, with the ECM updated stainless steel internals with a simplified top nut, is solid brass. Constantly heated by the thermosyphon system which features a pre-infusion cylinder to make sure you every shot you pull is full of flavour.
Why You Should Get This
There is great flexibility offered through the switchable water source and, when you use the water reserviour, you have a generous 3L water tank at your disposal. Housed in mirror-finished, stainless steel panels, resting on a one-piece internal steel frame protecting it from bending or bowing as the result of continuous use. The rotary pump allows you to brew with minimal sound and the levers for the steam and hot water valves are some of the easiest to use on the market. As a heat exchanger espresso machine, this is of the best, most versatile available.

A brilliant machine
By: Greg on 23 December 2021We purchased our ECM from Jetblack some eight years ago along with grinder, barista course and cleaning equipment. I couldn’t be happier with our ECM and grinder (mini mazzer). We have poured over 8000 double shots and the machine has not missed a beat, producing excellent coffee - so I can’t recommend ECM and jetblack highly enough who service our machine regularly My view is spend your money once and buy a very high quality product and the ECM certainly fills my requirements of working as and when required. Cheers, Greg
