Gaggia Classic Pump replacement
By: Bill Gibson on 6 May 2024Our 22yo Gaggia Classic was struggling to make an espresso and so after numerous cleaning cycles etc I decided to try replacing the pump. The pump provided by Jetblack Espresso was perfect and I was able to easily install it. The machine is now rejuvenated, making a lovely espresso very quickly. I could have bought a replacement machine, but we like the current one so much that breathing new life into it was ideal.

Replacement of Ulka Vibration Pump
By: James Williams on 4 August 2023My 5 yr old Lelit PL042EMIAUS machine stopped working three days ago. I called the French’s Forest store and asked the receptionist if I could speak to a technician to hopefully diagnose the problem. She said that she might be able to help and after I briefly described the problem she immediately suggested that it sounded like the vibration pump and that a new one would be $64. Suggested that I could take it to the store or I might like to replace it myself. I then found a YouTube video showing how to replace the pump on a similar Lelit machine and thought it would be worth a go. Ordered the pump on line and it arrived today. It took about 20-30 mins to install and the machine is working perfectly again. Thank you Jetblack Espresso.

Ulka Ex5 Vibration Pump
By: GeoffS on 17 December 2022Identical to the replaced pump except for the brass extension (previously nylon) which is a plus. I did experience an initial problem where the unit failed to pump water. It turned out that the anti suction valve, accessible from the brass end of the pump, was stuck on its seat. A quick disassembly by removing the 2 phillips head screws allowed access to the stuck valve which released with little force. Remember, there is a small synthetic ball inside, a critical component!
