The Pro300 is a dual boiler, semi-automatic espresso machine with a ring brew group. Depending on your needs, the Pro300 may be used as a single-circuit machine or a dual boiler machine. The advantage is the short, 5 minute heat-up time for making espresso. The stainless steel, steam- and hot-water boiler may be activated or switched off at any time. The desired brew temperature can be regulated via the PID-display. The display shows the espresso brewing time in seconds, as well.

dual boiler and ring group head a winner

I have this machine and couldnt be happier with it. The dual boiler and ring group head means it heats up FAST. In under 5 minutes I have a PID controlled temp of low 90s which I like to brew at. As i dont tend to leave the machine on all day(its a coffee machine that serves maybe 1 or sometimes 2 people), i find this a much better solution than the e61 heads which although they maintain a great temp, take a lot longer to reach it. The steam wand is plenty powerful, and i have produced nice froth on all types of milk without much problem. Lastly its very compact size makes it a perfect home appliance taking up barely any room on the counter. Seems to be working well so far and I hope it lasts a long time! I would purchase this exact model again and again for my use case. Perhaps the only con is I find controlling the PID a bit complicated.

Profitec Pro 300

We traded in our Lelit double boiler machine for the Profitec Pro 300. We have only had the Profitec for a few weeks. The pump is stronger and pours consistent shots. The steam wand is powerful. The ergonomics are excellent (being able to remove the water reservoir to fill; sliding spill tray for removal and cleaning. The machine came with a single shot group which was a bonus where backflushing with a blind filter on the single grouphead is easy. So far so good, could not be more satisfied!
