Must Have:
The E61 Flow Control Device allows you to adjust the flow of water in your brew group to manually profile your extractions. This custom component is a stainless steel needle valve, which allows the user to vary the amount of water flowing through the group. Variable flow control allows for lengthy pre-infusion for more even saturation and extraction of your espresso.
Similar to Profitec's existing mushroom, the flow control device is made from stainless steel to resist corrosion. The resulting changes in pressure are reflected by an included gauge which installs on the front of the group. The E61 Flow Control Device can be installed on any Profitec Espresso machine with an E61 brew group.
*Please note the photos of the flow control is of the profitec flow control, the ECM flow control regulator has a white face*
*Please Note: If selecting the E61 Flow Rate Regulator option, please allow for a 2-3 day delay on dispatch as this part must be fitted by our workshop technicians.
We recommend purchasing an adjustable PLV for fixed water connections as the rotary pump in this machine stipulates a maximum input pressure of 2BAR.

Beautiful machine, great coffee
By: Carol Liu on 2 June 2021Stunning machine, extremely heavy. Don’t bother to get it out of the box if you are not strong enough. Totally different from the brands you can get from Harvey Normal or David Jones. Having a Sunbeam EM7000 for 7 years, I decided to upgrade. After reading lots of reviews about Breville dying after 2-3 years (although they do make beautiful coffee), I decided to pay for something not only looking better but with much better quality which actually equals to much longer life. It does take 15 minutes for the machine to warm up and get ready. So it’s a bit of pain that I need to go downstairs to turn on the machine first thing when I get up, then go up again to get ready for day etc. Paired this espresso machine with a Ceado E6. Again, great grinder, very heavy. However, I have to say I spent a couple of months to find out that the steam temperature could be set to 132, while the machine came in set to 128. It makes a big difference and finally I got the milk done much quicker in a silky smoothy quality. I would also suggest anyone who would like to get this machine to get the 4 -hole tip to get much better steaming function.

Most likely my espresso machine end-game
By: Patrick Shaddock on 28 August 2020After lots of researching upgrades for my Rocket Giotto, I finally landed on the Synchronika based on build quality, capability and reliability. It is a stunning, classic looking machine, better in real life than the pictures. Coffee is already a consistent 8/10 and when I add the flow control in a few months I expect to get into the 9’s and 10’s. Not a huge fan of the indicator lights, but if that is my only gripe then life must be good. Jet Black Espresso service was spot on and I look forward to coming back to do more business in the future.

Wonderful machine with a few caveats
By: AndrewH on 16 August 2020Positives: Has been making wonderful coffee and steamed milk ie. the output has been tasting great. Is beautiful to look at and build quality is high The levers work instantly and functionally are great. I enjoy the shot timer - very convenient Negatives The refill pump comes towards the end of milk steaming and drops the pressure which is annoying me. Perhaps that's a fault or perhaps the boiler is a little small - I'm leaning towards the former rather than the latter so maybe it's fixable - who knows... The steam and hot water levers have cams that may wear and although I'm pretty sure you can get parts to maintain it maybe the cams and rods/actuators should be harder material? I'll leave that one out there for the engineers. The steam and water boiler doesn't work independently on a 10A power supply which partially cripples the machine and partially defeats the purpose of having a dual boiler machine. Most of the time it "sort of works" but extra grunt from 15A-20A would be better and should be available but I think the importer has decided we just get 10A in the Australian market without giving us the option of chosing for our ourselves which is rather undemocratic don't you think.. Some markets can pick their own amperage using PID settings and obviously you'd need an electrician to supply an appropriate electrical outlet in your house eg. like they do for ovens and air conditioners etc

Fantastic product
By: Greg C on 22 November 2019I purchased this model just over 5 years ago now. Packaged with automatic grinder. Serviced regularly. Run without issue - I can't imagine waking up and not being able to make our morning coffee. Together with the ability to buy in beans to our taste at two coffees a day the pay back period is about a year after that your coffee costs run about 1/2 of what you pay in a cafe. I have no problem recommending this machine as a part of your total package - oh don't forget to include the barista course (I am asssming they still run this)

ECM Synchronika
By: Margarita Marov on 4 December 2018An truly beautiful and amazing coffee machine with upgraded PID model. We have a commercial grade machine in the home and has the versatility of being plumbed in or use filtered water. Great German engineering of internal parts to guarantee no mechanical issues and Italian design for it's gorgeous looks. Highly recommend the ECM as the best product in it's class.
